After the gripping and controversial first chapter about child abuse, Hilde Van Mieghem and her team take a closer look at partner violence in this second series. Testimonies of victims, perpetrators and experts show that this issue is possibly even more taboo and complex than child abuse.

Each episode offers a closer look on testimonials and a professional framework with experts in the matter. Quite a number of prejudices are debunked: men, almost as often as women, are victims of abuse as well and it happens in all segments of our society. Even hostile divorces are a subject tackled in an episode, making painfully clear that children are collateral damage more often than not in abusive families.
